This morning I woke to high winds, thunder, and lightening. It has rained pretty much the entire day.
The farm land across the road is saturated. There is now a lake where a field used to be.
Such is springtime in rural Ohio.
Springtime is the best and worst of times.
Rain and mud
Storms and flood
Plants blooming, pollen sneezing
Grass growing, allergic wheezing
Farmers planting
Dogs panting
Flip flops to wear
Ponytail hair
Sunshine so bright
Until late at night.
Let's get into gear
'Cause Springtime is here!
New International Version (©1984)
Ask the LORD for rain in the springtime; it is the LORD who makes the storm clouds. He gives showers of rain to men, and plants of the field to everyone.

I know the feeling. We had a heavy storm rage through here Monday night. It was quick and dirty but did $37 million in damages and killed 8. Never a good outcome in those big bad boys. http://on.fb.me/eJH2aB Today it's sunny and in the mid 70's Go figure. Only in Georgia, and I guess in Ohio. Pollen count over 3,000. Everything covered in yellow dust.
